Freedom 17 RX
Once described as the "Volvo wagon of canoes," the Freedom 17 has
something to offer just about any paddler. Big enough and long enough to
handle a family of four, dry and maneuverable enough to travel down
whitewater rivers, fast and straight-tracking enough for big water use, it's
one versatile big canoe and one of the few that carries its' speed empty or
loaded. Care-free durable Royalex construction is rugged enough for use far
off the beaten path or to stand up to whatever your kids can throw its' way.
Freedom 16 RX
Just as the Express 16 is based on the Explorer hull concept but favors open
water, the Freedom 16 swings the pendulum in the other direction and
represents an Explorer tuned more for demanding whitewater. Additional
rocker and flared ends translate to increased maneuverability and dryness.
The Freedom 16 is a very capable whitewater tripper with adequate capacity
for weeks' worth of gear. Shallow vee hull improves calm water tracking and
contributes to down river speed.
Freedom Solo RX
The Freedom Solo is a tough canoe to categorize. How do you pigeon hole a
canoe that can handle Class III whitewater (loaded or empty) and yet put the
miles away on calmer waters. The Freedom Solo is a rare breed. Load it up
with a week or more worth of gear necessary to get you far afield. Once
there, unload her and she turns into a whitewater playboat. See what we
mean? The Freedom Solo is as versatile a solo canoe as you can find. It does
an awful lot of things awfully well.
